Security is at the heart of Always Networks. Founder Nick Shaw’s goal is to take the stress out of security for small and medium-sized businesses.

As a result, the IT provider planned a white paper to educate business leaders about the threats they faced and how cyber security could protect their business.

But Always Networks needed help to expand its audience to professional services firms.

The Solution

A Copywriter with Ideas and a Plan

Always Networks turned to Rob Beadle for help with the white paper.

Rob worked with the security specialists to clarify the audience and aims for the white paper. From this, he created an outline to share his ideas and proposed structure for the content.

“One of the things that I enjoyed working with Rob is that he’s not a yes man. He wasn’t afraid to give me his ideas as well as use mine,” said Nick.

“For both projects, Rob was happy to push back and say, ‘That might not be right, have you thought about X, Y, and Z?’”

After Always Networks approved the outline, Rob wrote an engaging narrative to guide readers through the paper supported by the firm’s industry knowledge of cyber threats and security tools.

As a result of the successful delivery of the white paper, the IT provider asked Rob to write a case study for a separate campaign. Rob interviewed one of its key clients to create an engaging case study in the format of a customer story.

Always Networks received the detailed case study, a one-page summary and ready-to-use PDFs. As a result, the company started using the case study in its sales meetings with prospects.

The Results

Achieving Industry Accreditation

Always Networks used the white paper, case study and other assets to drive its content marketing strategy. However, the most significant achievement for the company was becoming a Cisco Premier Partner.

The company’s new security offering, supported by the authorative content, enabled it to meet the criteria for the new accreditation.

What’s more, working with a professional copywriter changed how Always Networks talks to its clients through marketing. From working with Rob, the company learnt how to write content that its audience can relate to.
